Since 2013, Pastor Edward and Diane Reynolds have been dedicated to helping the homeless, those in extreme poverty, and people struggling to find food. Feeling a strong sense of purpose, they have organized events where they serve up to 400 people at a time. Through their work, they have built strong relationships with those they help, promoting understanding and challenging myths about homelessness.
In 2021, the Reynolds took their efforts further by founding Matthew’s Light. This initiative allowed them to explore the deeper causes of homelessness and how it affects neighborhoods, local services, and the economy. Their ongoing learning and experiences led to the creation of Cana Village—a new vision aimed at ending homelessness. Cana Village brings together successful programs to create a supportive community, representing a significant step toward effectively addressing and solving homelessness.
